JOB DESCRIPTION: Oncology Business Operations

POSITION LOCATION: San Carlos, CA, Austin, TX, or Remote, USA

The Oncology Business Operations (Onc Biz Ops) Manager will develop dashboard and reports to deeply understand our business trends, KPIs, and SLAs, perform needs assessments, lead process improvement plans, implement new workflows, and manage key vendor relationships. The individual will need to liaise closely with Sales Operations, UX/UI teams, Customer Experience, Engineering/IT, Patient Coordination, and Training. This position will report to the Director, Oncology Business Operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyzing and optimize commercial effectiveness, project implementation, and delivery throughout its lifecycle
  • Track key performance indicators for oncology business, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency
  • Managing billing policies, patient billing workflows, optimizations, and change management processes to ensure a smooth customer and patient billing experience.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to create/deliver additional value in the oncology business, including identification of upsell opportunities, adjacent services and partnerships, user experience tools, pricing optimization, etc...
  • Monitor data integrity/data governance processes for the emerging and complex oncology business line
  • A knack for solving problems via tools and processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills - excellent in Excel with track record of analyzing large sets of data
  • Proven ability to learn how processes work quickly, ask the right questions and come up with a cohesive plan for how to improve/automate them.
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams and build rapport with key stakeholders
  • Flexible, and agile; willingness to tackle any type of challenge; highly motivated to roll up sleeves and get work done while also thinking strategically
IDEAL BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years professional experience, including business operations, strategy/management consulting, pharma, diagnostics, oncology, and/or CRO experience
  • Exceptional data manipulation, modeling, and analytical reporting skills
  • Mastery of excel/gsheets with large and complex data sets
  • Experience with some/all of the following tools: salesforce.com, Alteryx, qLikSense, Tableau
  • Excellent project management skills with proven track records of meeting aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent communicator and good interpersonal relationship builder
  • Bright, flexible, and agile; highly motivated to roll up sleeves and get work done while also thinking strategically
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Duties are typically performed in an office or remote office setting.
  • This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material.
  • Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
