Senior Business Analyst, Global Professional Services

We're seeking a future team member for the role of SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST to join our GLOBAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES team. This role is located in MANCHESTER - HYBRID.

What we do:
Senior Business Analyst will join Global Professional Services (GPS) practice within BNY Mellon. By guiding clients through software implementation cycle, GPS acts as a trusted advisor that ensures that BNY Mellon clients benefit from their investments in our technology and can leverage industry best practice in their daily operations.

What you will do:
Senior Business Analyst supports project team in the entire implementation process, mainly in the areas of client requirements evaluation, implementation execution, testing management, enhancements identification. This role has no direct reports.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Demonstrate the company's processes and best practices for the adoption and utilization of solutions (e.g. driving product demos for clients and prospects).
• Execute on assigned activities in all implementation stages (conversion, parallel runs, go-live, etc.).
• Manage internal and client functional and performance testing (plan, triage, communicate with tech and non-tech teams, resolve test issues).
• Evaluate out-of-the-box solutions against client requirements and prepare project pricing independently, structure and synthetize firm offerings into solutions that address specific client needs, with senior team members' support.
• Perform research and analysis on client segments, competitive landscape, and industry environment as instructed by senior team members and/or project manager (e.g. to support solution development and/or enhancements).

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Strong experience in a Financial Institution, Consulting Firm or Fin Tech organization.
• Knowledge of Business requirements elicitation and documentation.
• Knowledge of SQL and Data Base querying tools.
• Knowledge in the area of data management/accounting/performance in the financial services industry is a plus.
• Any formal Project Management training would be advantageous.
