EAM Senior Business Analyst

Remote
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will report to the Assistant Director for Digital Transformation and will be responsible for building a team of analysts that are able to work with our engagement and project managers.
 
This position is primarily based at either our Philadelphia or NYC office location. Travel may be required (up to 50%) for this position depending on the nature of the projects, duration, and project commitments. 
 
Your primary goals will include performing detailed requirements gathering and analysis; documenting business processes; and performing some level of functional and business use case testing. To succeed in this role, you should have an analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

We desire an experienced professional with a demonstrated  record of success supporting the Maximo Enterprise Asset Management solution. This person will have at least five (5) years of hands on, technical experience with Maximo including designing, developing, and implementing high quality modifications, interfaces, conversions, and business process changes for Maximo systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of credibility and integrity. In addition to demonstrable experience in prior Maximo EAM projects, the candidate will also have experience with infrastructure upgrades, related EAM technologies, and be conversant with current technologies in the EAM space.

Qualifications:

  • Directing and participating in the collaboration with subject matter experts, product owners, end users, and other stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Evaluate new applications, system requirements, developments in the subject matter fields, and evolving business needs to recommend appropriate solutions and present new possibilities and capabilities.
  • Acts as the key or primary liaison between technical and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of current systems.
  • High degree of comfort with interdisciplinary teams, while also demonstrating an ability to work independently as needed.
  • Verbal and written communication skills should be excellent.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively more complex and challenging assignments, where hands on, technical, and functional experience with Maximo was required to design, develop, and implement high quality modifications, interfaces, conversions, and business process changes for Maximo systems.
  • Deep understanding of Maximo data structures, application designer, and workflow design.
  • Familiarity with Maximo Integration Framework and/or Maximo Enterprise Adapter integration abilities.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, independent, and resourceful.
  • Demonstrated ability of capturing, reviewing, analyzing, and directing the solution of  support tickets/requests submitted by clients.

Nice to have:

  • Software development experience (Java or .NET, web preferred).
  • Strong SQL skills (SQL Server preferred).
  • Comfortable preparing raw data and loading into Maximo using MIF.
  • Experience with Facility Operations.
  • Experience in end user training.
  • Experience in Request For Proposal (RFP) writing and developing responses to same.

Business Analyst Requirements:

  • A Masters Degree in Engineering or related field or an MBA.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Fundamental analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Understanding of how Enterprise Asset Management applications, such as IBM Maximo, function and the roles of Facility Maintenance and Operations staff. 
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience leading and developing top performing teams.
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
  • Competency in Analysis tools such as Power BI.

Salary range: $110-120K (based on qualifications and work experience).
