Introduction to the Job
As a Senior Mechatronics Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic technical team, providing both people and technology leadership. You will take ownership of the definition, development, integration, and support of collaterals for the wafer flow systems function, which includes wafer handling, positioning, clamping, and grounding optimized for the inspection and metrology e-beam system. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and increasing system throughput while maintaining high availability. Additionally, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge mechatronics solutions to meet the evolving needs of the semiconductor industry.

- Responsible for people management and career development activities including recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Strategy Implementation
- Contributes to the strategy and business plan for the department and translates into annual operational plan for own group.
- Contributes to the success of the department by taking ownership beyond the scope of own group.
- Supports the execution of the department plan with a view on the next two years.
Business Optimization & Organizational Development
- Delivers a significant and expert contribution to the development of longer-term business-plans and decision-making processes concerning critical objectives and (key) processes for the appointed department.
- Supports in defining critical success factors and changing needs. Secures continuous improvement as well as an effective, (cost) efficient, aligned and reliable technology department. Evaluates (work) processes across functional disciplines and supports implementation of this improvements.
Decision making (and time horizon and frameworks)
- Takes informed decisions of a tactical nature, by analyzing information, evaluating alternatives, and considering the potential impact on the group, organization and stakeholders.
- Operates within a tactical business environment with a planning horizon of up to one-two years.
- Operates within clear business directions, relevant design principles, determined targets and budgets and risk & compliance directives.
Leadership and output realization
- Creates leadership, secures the achievement of relevant KPI's and is responsible for: an on-time, correct and complete realization of all determined assigned department technology objectives; operational HR management, a diverse and highly qualified workforce and performance management;
- Develop an optimal organization structure for the group to meet short and long term visions of e-Beam Platform; the implementation of (change) (project) (innovation) results.
- Act as a role model, living the company values on a day-to-day basis.
- Own content, think and act end-to-end, look beyond the boundaries of their own area, and build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
- Providing a safe andinclusive environment where we all feel trusted, valued, respected, and can be ourselves. Listen actively, encourage and empower group members.
- Establishes the mid term capacity needs and make timely resourcing and feasibility decisions to meet future projections. Support in managing headcount for the department and CAPEX/OPEX according to budget and monitor financial performance versus plans and budgets.
Stakeholder management
- Creates a relevant network of cross-sectoral stakeholders on a tactical (and strategic) level of in- and external counterparts. Organizes an adequate feedback loop on achieved results and secures reliable business insights. Explains and convinces internal and external parties beyond content driven arguments and is able to appeal to interest, culture and level of others; knows how and when to influence.
- Establish connection with strategic stakeholders mainly department managers, heads (JG 12-13), program managers, customer support, manufacturing, systems engineering and supply chain sectors
- Joins where applicable SPFT.
Knowledge and information management
- Ensures development, transfer and retention of knowledge and information, by identifying training and development needs, creating learning opportunities, providing necessary resources and fostering an environment of continuous growth.
- Providing the right means and methods (e.g. tooling)
People Management
- Manages daily operational activities regarding people & performance management for the group. Build High Performing Teams and ensures succession of critical roles in the group.
- Ensures well-being of the people in the group. Create an environment in which employees feel engaged and can grow their full potential. Build strong, diverse and complementary groups, supporting them when adapting to different situations.
- Creates a safe and inclusive environment in which employees feel engaged and can grow to their full potential through performance management, active coaching and structured people development (both skills and competencies) and manages this in own group.
- Hiring and providing the right people to the right team taking farm-out decisions into account.
- Stimulates Group members to add value through their competences (e.g., technical, functional, ASML Standards, behavioral competences, etc.) and empower them to take ownership and make the right decision. Delegates responsibilities and tasks to team members in order to enhance their development.
Requirements
- Technical background (minimum Masters degree).
- Requires deep specialized knowledge and conceptual understanding of own domain.
- Proven ability to perform in a fast paced and ambiguous environment while always maintaining focus on customer goals and relationships.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning capability
- Analytical and pragmatic attitude
- Accurate, structured and quality focused minded.
- Experience in leadership.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
- Ability to use MS Office applications, collaboration tools, and effective use of e-mail and messaging systems.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$219,750-366,250
Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
