About the role
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis owns broad strategic financial planning, analytics, and business insights for important departments within the company. The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis supports Leadership in building opportunities and plans to achieve the near, mid, and long-term topline and margin targets of the organization. The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis creates new processes, reporting, and guidelines to ensure visibility into patterns and projections, and present findings to senior leadership.

You will report to the Director, FP&A.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $131,200 - $172,200 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $118,080 - $154,980 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct financial support to departmental business leaders, including setting of Operating Plan and Strategy targets, evaluating multiple business cases to achieve those targets, and tracking of actuals versus expectations.
- Provide financial oversight to the identification, validation, execution, and tracking of programs that improve overall financial performance.
- Prepare initiative Return on investment (ROI), recommend prioritization framework; own quantification of initiative impact into forward-looking projections.
- Validate proposed economics of proposed strategic transactions, partnerships, and vendor arrangements.
- Propose new, and improve on existing, FP&A processes and governance.
- Evaluate, present monthly and quarterly financial results relative to budget and other benchmark data including providing commentary for management reviews.
- Partner with their departmental teams to lead the best financial results including performance management.
- Improve process improvements, automate monthly reporting and help with documentation.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of finance experience including FP&A experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, pro forma analysis, short-term and long-term planning.
- 4+ years of experience serving as a partner to C-level executives.
Bonus Points
- MBA in finance, MS in Financial Analysis.
- Experience in managed care, healthcare or insurance.
- Proficiency in SQL/BigQuery to analyze large datasets.
- Proficiency working with NetSuite and Adaptive.
- Experience in FP&A functions in Healthcare, Insurance, or Financial Services (required for the Insurance Finance).

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
