YOUR ROLE

As EHS Manager on our team, you will: Manage, plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability strategy aimed at establishing and maintaining a safety culture, minimizing the environmental impact derived from environmental aspects related to its activities, complying with federal, state, and municipal legal programs, and ensuring that the Company remains at the forefront of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability matters by complying with the certifications and standards required and established by third parties.

In your daily job you will

  • Coordinate the environmental, health, and safety activities necessary to comply with the requirements of the Clean Industry, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and the Ministry of Labor (SEMARNAT, SPA, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance and oversee compliance with legal obligations related to health, safety, and the Environment and Energy.
  • Coordinate, attend, and follow up on the company's planned and unplanned safety and environmental audits.
  • Advise management on EHS&S for the various activities carried out in each area or on new projects.
  • Plan and supervise daily and future activities of the personnel under their charge.
  • Identify and monitor the implementation of EHS&S training.
  • Implement and evaluate preventive programs for risk reduction, sustainability projects, and applicable environmental aspects in accordance with current regulations.
  • Generate and maintain updated EHS&S indicators established by the company.
  • Generate and maintain updated EHS&S indicators established by the company. Implement EHS&S documentation aligned with clean industry, ISO-14001, internal control, the Ministry of Labor (SEMARNAT, SPA, Fire Department, Civil Protection Department, etc.), as well as manage and process EHS&S licenses and permits.
  • Coordinate meetings with external suppliers of materials, equipment, or services to resolve EHS&S issues. • Manage the budget assigned to the EHS&S area, control expenses, and control capital projects.
  • Has the authority to stop any action and/or condition that constitutes a violation and jeopardizes employee health and safety or has a negative impact on the environment.
  • Has the authority to stop any action and/or condition that results in inefficient energy consumption.
  • He has the authority to provide feedback to any employee who commits a fault and puts the quality of the product at risk, or who performs good actions and/or promotes the conditions to achieve exceeding quality.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelors degree in Ambiental Engineering or other required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Knowlegde in ISO 14001 - 45001
  • Experience in similar position (minimum 5 years)
