The Role:

Do you love the thrill of closing new partners? Then we need to talk. ApplyBoard has helped higher-ed institutions in Canada, the UK, Ireland and Australia grow their international student enrolment. Now our mission is to help the US. We are looking for an experienced and creative Partner Development Manager- US to join our growing Sales Team and take our company and platform to the next level!

Note: This role is based in the US (remote), We accept Applications from remote employees in the following US states: MA, CA, IL, WA, AZ, TX, NY

What you'll be doing every day:
  • Generate revenue and hit target quota
  • Identify and prospect for new partner school deals through outreach, networking, and presentations in assigned territories
  • Exhibit drive and grit to increase visibility in the market, building the ApplyBoard brand with trusted partnerships with multiple product offerings
  • Engage and strategize with senior-level executives to demonstrate how ApplyBoard can drive revenue to their universities
  • Negotiate and execute partnership agreements with partner institutions, understanding and working to achieve AB's desired contract terms and conditions
  • Serve as territory expert and contribute to broader partner development strategy, making recommendations to increase market scope and penetration
  • Effectively leverage CRM to drive continuous improvement in sales effectiveness and for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Collaborate with Partner Relations Managers and Partner Client Managers to provide seamless handoff and support to newly established partner institutions
  • Pursue involvement in international education professional organizations and stay up-to-date on trends, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the team
  • Travel as needed (~25%) to attend conferences, visit prospective partners, and participate in other activities intended to brand ApplyBoard and grow partnerships in the US


What you bring to the table:
  • Self-motivated, self-starter who is proactive and strategic
  • 3+ years experience in edtech sales
  • SaaS sales experience is beneficial
  • Experience in selling to leadership at higher-ed academic institutions
  • Ability to achieve results by understanding the needs of the customer, driving influence by connecting a customer's pressures with business and product solutions
  • Experience developing and executing on a prospecting strategy
  • Experience preparing sales proposals, forecasts and account planning
  • Aptitude for prioritizing tasks with a high attention to detail to ensure information accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle objections
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent sales and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce, etc.), Google and Microsoft productivity software
