The HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER (HRBP) collaborates with key business leaders and the HR team to align people strategies with business objectives for designated stakeholders. Acting as a trusted advisor, the HRBP anticipates and addresses people priorities through planning and needs assessments. The role involves working closely with leaders in ZS's Japan, China, and Singapore offices, providing expert recommendations and solutions. The HRBP maintains strong business acumen by understanding firm and stakeholder priorities, including clients, strategy, and financials.

What You'll Do

Advisory Role:

  • Serve as a strategic partner for business leaders, supporting people strategy and initiatives.
  • Provide insights and advice to support decision-making and lead change.
  • Collaborate with HR experts to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decisions.
  • Participate in leadership, financial, and business planning meetings.

Workforce Management:

  • Advise on utilization and headcount planning.
  • Provide insights on team structures and skill distribution.
  • Support team sizing, alignment, and succession planning.
  • Maintain understanding of business pipeline and recommend hiring needs.
  • Champion the EVOLVE career planning program.
  • Assist with large-scale staffing dilemmas and employee transfers.

Performance & Coaching:

  • Validate performance information and promotion recommendations.
  • Support leadership sessions and performance communications.
  • Provide coaching expertise and champion a culture of feedback and high performance.
  • Partner with the Learning team to advise on content for stakeholder support with regards to onboarding, or upskilling topics.

Engagement & Culture:

  • Monitor employee engagement through various sources and drive improvement programs.
  • Advise leaders on culture and community reinforcement.
  • Address employee relation issues and support recognition programs.

HR Team and Processes:

  • Liaise with the local and global HR and Enterprise teams to support stakeholders.
  • Develop and communicate people guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain best practices with other HRBPs.
  • Provide mentorship and serve as a change management champion.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
  • 12+ years relevant work experience, multinational/global professional services required
  • ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, along with fluency in native level proficiency in Japanese
  • A good understanding of the local Japanese labour laws and compliance would be desired
  • Demonstrated ability to establish key relationships with business leaders and develop strong credibility
  • Sound analytical acumen and ability to interpret business metrics
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong mental agility and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to proactively and continually collaborate with the business and broader HR team to bring the 'best' to your 'client'
  • Experience in interfacing with international audiences and cross-office teams
  • Strong project management and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and work across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task while working against tight timelines
  • Attention to detail and commitment to get things done, and getting them done well

While some projects may be local, all client-facing ZSers should be prepared to travel as needed.
