What We Need

We’re looking for a business-minded, forward thinking People Leader who thrives at the intersection of performance culture & business outcomes. Reporting to the CEO, the VP of People & Organizational Impact will ensure the people and organizational strategy enables business results, while also positively enhancing the employee experience. The ideal candidate has a successful track record of being a strategic business partner to key executive leadership, has implemented a variety of people strategies to support evolving organizations and brings a high level of emotional intelligence to navigate and build strong relationships with a wide range of personalities and people with varying skillsets and priorities. 

 

What You Can Expect In This Role

  • Draw on acquired business acumen and leadership experience to design and execute impactful organizational and human capital strategies across Yieldmo’s workforce
  • Elevate Yieldmo’s people strategy to support the company’s next phase of growth, bringing first-principles thinking to reimagine how to drive organizational design, operational effectiveness, and innovation at-scale
  • Design and execute talent management strategies and programs that drive career & skill development, aid in employee retention, and reward top quality talent at all levels in the organization
  • Act as coach and advocate for employees, managers and executive management team
  • Integrate leadership and human capital metrics into company performance. Create and deliver presentations for discussion with Yieldmo leadership
  • Manage and grow a team of HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition team members to execute chosen strategies across aspects of the employee lifecycle- attract, recruit, develop, retain
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and city labor laws and regulations. Keep abreast of new developments in the HR field and ensure that Yieldmo is in line with industry standards
  • Improve and maintain HR policies and procedures. Ensure they are properly documented, consistently implemented, and communicated throughout the company
  • Partner closely with leadership to shape company-level decisions promote a diverse, equitable, inclusive workforce and a safe, healthy work environment
  • Maintain and continuously strive to improve staff engagement, satisfaction, morale, and retention
  • Provide guidance and coaching to resolve performance, disciplinary, or other employee issues, including terminations; effectively address complaints and assist with investigations, leveraging outside employment counsel when appropriate

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience directing an array of human-resources related activities both from a strategic and on-the-ground/tactical level
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional leadership stakeholders to build alignment & execution of business plans and goals
  • Experience using data to make well-informed decisions
  • Experience with a geographically dispersed workforce; prior work with internationally-based team members a plus
  • Experience with a highly specialized workforce required; experience working within VC-backed technology company preferred 
  • Creative problem-solving abilities; equipped with intellectual flexibility & demonstrated comforting dealing with ambiguity & rapid change
  • Enthusiasm for tackling bold, ambitious goals coupled with the operational discipline and strategic rigor to achieve them
  • Objectivity and openness to others’ views, gives and welcomes feedback, supports everyone’s efforts to succeed, and inspires respect and trust.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues across a range of disciplines and experience levels and to contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions at the Executive level.
  • Exceptionally organized; oriented to leverage technology and systems to create efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience with problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • An ability to handle sensitive issues with diplomacy, judgment, and discretion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Hiring Process

Select candidates will be invited to schedule a 30 minute screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. We will discuss the Hiring Process details at that time. The hiring process typically includes, but is not limited to:

  • A 60 minute video interview with the Hiring Manager.
  • Candidates will be invited to join a remote on-site interview round, consisting of video interviews with various team members and leadership.
  • Successful candidates will subsequently be made an offer.

US Jobs: The base salary range for this role is: $170,000 - $205,000 per year. The range listed is just one component of Yieldmo's total compensation package for employees. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience, level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. In these situations, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.
