What will you be doing?

WWT (World Wide Technology) is looking for an Agile Product Owner to assist with teams' and individuals' delivery of valuable software solutions. The Product Owner is a connector, orchestrator, and navigator between the IT (Information Technology) Organization and the Business, ensuring that the product delivered meets the needs and business requirements of our business partners. The Product Owner turns vision into reality and, with the solution architect, helps guide the delivery team to create innovative solutions in real-world applications.

An ideal candidate must have previous experience owning one or more products and have a solid understanding of product management techniques, and a background in recurring revenue offers and/or billing systems. An IT Product Owner plays a key role within agile development teams and is responsible for translating the strategic vision outlined by the IT Product Manager into actionable tasks and features that the development team can implement. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, the Product Owner plays a crucial role in defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog. They work closely with stakeholders to gather and distill requirements, ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of what needs to be built and why.

Throughout the development process, the Product Owner makes decisions on priorities, clarifies requirements, and provides continuous feedback to the team. Additionally, they participate in sprint planning, monitor progress, and collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure the final product aligns with customer expectations and business objectives. The role demands a combination of technical understanding, business acumen, and effective communication skills to successfully guide the development team in delivering a product that meets both customer needs and organizational goals.​

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Ensures alignment and continuity with the Product Manager and business vision. Communicates a clear vision and strategy for the product or service being developed.
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business goals, ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of what needs to be built.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that the product is developed in accordance with the Agile methodology, including defining and prioritizing user stories and managing the product backlog.
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings, help the team understand the scope of work for each sprint, and ensure that the development process stays on track.
  • Collect and integrate customer feedback into the product development process, ensuring that the final product meets customer expectations and needs.​

Desired Skills

  • Experience in recurring revenue models and billing methodologies. (XaaS, Consumption, usage models)
  • Experience in billing and revenue management, order to cash relating to subscription or SaaS (Software as a Service) based lines of business.
  • Working knowledge of business applications to support quote-to-invoice business processes (CRM/ERP tools such as Oracle NetSuite, RecVue, Salesforce Billing & Revenue Management, Coupa, Etc.)
  • Experience designing & implementing integrations with upstream (quoting) and downstream (invoicing/AP/AR/general ledger) applications.
  • Experience in system implementation/solutions, crafting policies for software operations, and subscription management
  • Experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication for both a technical and non-technical audience.

Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience working as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • 2-5 years in designing and implementing solutions in a SaaS environment or have worked in revenue or finance operations.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in recurring revenue product offerings and/or billing models that support recurring revenue.
  • 2-5 years of experience working directly with business stakeholders.
