What will you be doing?
The Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) role will bring technical Pre-Sales experience to our customers within the local market. Day to day responsibilities will include participation in customer sales meetings, presentations, white board sessions and custom technical design work. The CSE will team with local Client Managers to build customer and partner OEM relationships, partner with multiple OEM's and take part in technical training to provide continued value to the customers. Technical expertise expansion is highly encouraged as you look to learn about new areas of interest and be on the forefront of cutting-edge technologies. This position will require the ability to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Pre-Sales systems engineering
- Serve as the technical liaison to all supported clients
- Build and develop deep technical relationship with clients
- Possess deep source credibility across a wide variety of technology disciplines
- Act as an effective technical resource manager -- leveraging our Consulting Solutions Architecture, Global Solution Architecture, Professional Services Engineering, and other teams to deliver high-quality, solution-based results for our clients
- Assist in developing Statements of Work, Proof of Concepts and Bill of Materials
- Deliver technical value proposition of the WWT Platform and Advanced Technology Center (ATC)
- Attend business appointments with Account teams
- Estimate labor hours for Professional Services work
Qualifications:
- Preferred candidate location is Southern CA, but we will consider other locations
- 10+ years of Network Engineering and 5+ years of Pre-Sales experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments, ideally at larger Enterprise companies.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of storage, compute, VMware, backup, cyber resiliency, digital delivery services solutions, route/switch, load-balancing, network security, SASE/SSE, network automation, Software-Defined Networking solutions, cloud networking, Wi-Fi.
- Strong experience with core route/switch technologies is required.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration skills, customer service skills, and presentation skills are required.
- Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience required.

- Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of base salary range. Total compensation for this role includes a base plus commission. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this position is $175,000-225,000 + commissions. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
