Position Description

The Financial Planning & Analysis Director will be a critical role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer of World 50, Inc. As part of joining an exciting, growing business, the FP&A Director will be a right hand to the CFO, helping to lead the annual planning processes, supporting commercial projects and analysis and providing thought leadership to the business teams overall. Areas of focus will range from establishing planning processes, evaluating and implementing a new planning system, problem solving, quantitative analysis and operations. This role will interact with the Executive Team and all functional areas in the business.

Responsibilities :

Act as a right hand to the Chief Financial Officer in leading and establishing the annual planning processes; building the annual budget, updating quarterly business forecasts and monitoring ongoing business performance

Lead ad hoc projects and analysis to support strategic projects and initiatives

Partner closely with accounting to anticipate, identify and action variances in actual monthly performance vs. budget as appropriate

Contribute solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses, draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and may have global impact

Support the presentation of financial recommendations to the World 50 Leadership Team on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives

Demonstrate an understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, showing an ability to link planning and reporting with business insight

Initiate, identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations

Lead analytics and make recommendations to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary

Education, Experience and Qualifications ::

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or certification preferred

7+ years of experience in finance or strategy including core FP&A experience

3 or more years of experience in a partnership role between Finance and other departments

Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis, accounting, revenue and financial systems

Advanced excel skills, high attention to detail and excellent organization

Expertise managing, evaluating, and analyzing data quickly to create meaningful business reporting and analysis

Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners

High level of motivation, creativity, vision and initiative

Experience leading a financial planning process or planning system is preferred

Very strong communication, both written and verbal
