We are looking for an experienced Media Sales Manager to co-lead advertising sales in the US and APAC region across frieze magazine, Frieze Week and Frieze's digital offering (frieze.com, newsletter, social media).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Co-Leading advertising sales in the US and APAC across the following products: frieze magazine, Frieze Week and Frieze's digital offering (frieze.com, newsletter, social media)
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential advertisers
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current advertisers and potential clients
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and effective communication
  • Provide clients with creative solutions to meet their advertising needs
  • Representing frieze at gallery dinners and openings on a regular basis
  • Work with the Head of Media Sales Americas and Asia Pacific on strategy for frieze in the US & APAC to grow advertising revenue
  • Maintain and update the customer database to increase frieze's network
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management
  • Track advertising revenue and performance against sales goals

Please Note e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc

  • International travel to attend art world events across the USA and APAC
  • Flexibility and longer hours may be required

Key Results Areas

  • Generating publishing revenue across frieze, Frieze Week and digital offerings on frieze.com, newsletter and social media

Knowledge and Experience

Mandatory

  • Excellent knowledge of the contemporary art industry and its stakeholders (gallery and museum directors, communcation managers, agencies, artists, curators)
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in advertising (print and digital products)
  • A proven record of driving advertising sales from arts and / or luxury advertisers
  • A strong client network of senior decision makers across a number of advertisers, especially advertisers that are new to frieze
  • In depth knowledge of digital advertising formats and a proven record of growing digital advertising revenue for a publisher
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • High Experience in client-facing roles
  • Experience of managing a wide range of activities and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under high pressure, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Google analytics and Adobe Products
  • Ability to speak additional language(s) a plus

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum:
$60,406 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:
$75,000 annually
