Ab Initio Lead Developer

Ab Initio Developer Job Description

1. You will design and implement Ab Initio Solutions using GDE Express IT Query IT and other Ab Initio products
2. Minimum Knowledge on Hadoop tech and how the hdfs files and layouts work.
3. You will develop key modules independently using PDL and Metaprogramming constructs using all Ab Initio components
4. You will create ETL solutions by closely working with stakeholders and data experts
5. You should be able to work independently to create ETL solutions with minimal guidance from seniors
6. You should be dynamic and proactive in working with multiple teams at a platform level
7. You should have detailed understanding and hands on Ab Initio products like GDE Query IT Control centre and Express IT
8. You should understand business requirements and transforming them into graphs and plans
9. You should understand continuous integration and deployment processes in Ab Initio
10. You must have good hands-on experience in Unix shell scripting
11. You must have good understanding in development of reusable Ab Initio components Knowledge of Banking Domain and Ab Initio version 4.x will be an added advantage

Desired Skills :

The following skills will be desirable:

1. 7+ years of experience in the design and delivery of ETL solutions Ab-Initio tools
2. Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
3. Experience in UNIX and/or AIX operating environment and UNIX shell scripting is required
4. Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
5. Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
6. Working experience as Agile developer and good understanding of SDLC methodologies/guidelines
7. Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop/HIVE/Spark
