Job Title: Digital Twin Program Senior Solution Architect
Location: Houston, TX
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solution Architect with a strong background in data architecture/engineering and software architecture/engineering to join our Digital Twin Program team in the oil & gas industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to design and implement robust data architectures, driving innovative solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture Design and Engineering
- Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures.
- Coordinate work across multiple data teams developing data models, schemas, and databases to support various business functions and analytics.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all systems.
Software Architecture Design and Engineering
- Develop and maintain software solutions to support data integration, processing, and analytics.
- Coordinate work across multiple software engineering teams to ensure data architectures and digital products are seamlessly integrated into the digital twin applications.
- Optimize and enhance existing software systems for improved performance and scalability.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data and software engineering teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices in data architecture and software engineering.
- Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and business goals.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Contribute to strategic planning for data management and digital transformation initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance data architecture and software engineering capabilities.
- Develop and execute roadmaps for data architecture evolution in alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation.
Data Governance and Compliance
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry and company regulations and standards related to data management and security.
Qualifications Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture and software engineering, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and projects.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in designing and implementing data architectures, including data modeling, database design, and ETL processes.
- Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). - Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of industry-specific data standards and practices in the oil & gas sector.
Leadership and Communication Skills
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
