The Role overview

This career opportunity within our career framework is at Partner level and is for the Consumer consulting business unit. The role as a Partner will lead growth of the consulting business across strategic account(s) by leveraging both; existing & emerging capabilities, in addition to creating new strategic growth areas to deliver significant profitable growth for the accounts and consulting globally. This sector focuses on Business and IT engagements for Fortune-500 and Global-2000 clients around the world covering a diverse set of sub-verticals including Retail, Distribution Travel, Transportation, Hospitality and Services. The successful candidate will drive, define, and support logistics and transportation consulting engagements and capabilities in the Retail, Transportation and Services sector in North America. S/he will also enable the opening of new engagements, drive the adoption of differentiated solutions, and build the Transportation-Industry Domain & Consulting Practice.

Our Partner is expected to build C-level relationships and leverage strategic partnerships as relevant for business growth strategy, in collaboration with the Global Account Executives and other business leaders globally.

Responsibilities :
  • Growth: Work with the leadership team to define a sound business growth strategy for designated strategic account(s). Ensure the consulting business opens new business opportunities and expands Wipro's client positioning.
  • Relationships: As a Partner you bring deep expertise and good industry connections to develop the consulting and advisory business.
  • Solutions: Identifying & defining differentiated services and solutions for various process areas within designated strategic clients.
  • Customer Centricity: Delivering customer value as a central theme across all activities. Ensuring Wipro is delivering as a partner and aligned to client/customer value and strategic goals.
  • Branding: Leverage the above to help create strong Wipro Market Positioning and increasing Wipro's mindshare.
  • Minimum 20 years of industry experience with the past 10 years being in a Transporation and Logistics consulting leadership position.
  • Exposure to tier-1 distribution/logistics and transportation products specifically for the Transportation Industry.
  • Functional expertise in transportation, logistics and warehouse management.
  • Sell, grow, and deliver business transformation engagements within Retail, Services and Transportation capabilities.
  • Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles including defining downstream from a consulting engagement.
  • Global perspective and knowledge of business and technology trends in Transportation & Logistics especially in Air, Ground, Water and Railroad sectors. Good experience in transport optimization, freight consolidation, efficient routing, distribution, fleet management will be an added plus.
  • Partner with other Wipro business units and develop strong relationships to build your own internal eco-system, enabling pull through from consulting services into large scale transformational journeys.
  • Worked with some of the largest Transportation segments including freight, air, shipping, etc.
  • Location: This hire can be based in any US city where Wipro has an office and need to work 3 days a week from office. S/He will need to travel as required, and travel may vary significantly based on the executive's home location and other factors.
