CST Solutions Analysts are required to be knowledgeable in a wide range of technical capabilities and software products that have the potential to meet business needs. The knowledge and training of the CST Solutions Analyst leads to the identification of possible solutions that would meet the client's requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• There are four primary tasks that form the basis of a solutions analyst job description:

1. Assisting with defining scope and requirements

2. Isolating key issues

3. Determine and provide possible solutions

4. Present recommendations internally and externally

• Responsible for looking at a given request from all angles and identifying both the obvious and the hidden issues and decision points.

• Must be able to provide information about the relative risks, dependencies, and benefits of each option in sufficient detail to allow the business owners to make an informed decision.

• Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the analysis of complex business requests and ensuring the development of well-defined documentation, in the delivery of practical solutions

• Lead efforts to improve business processes and systems. Identifies products, services, and processes that can be enhanced through the effective use of technology;

• Monitor the turnaround of change requests, report requests, and problem calls. Provide consultative assistance with solving technical issues and recommend solutions that utilize current and developing technologies;

• Proactively assess customer needs on a periodic basis via surveys, reviews, interviews, trends analysis, and communicates the results of the findings

Implementation/Intake and Requirements

• Concept planning internally and externally

• Tech liaison for AE, AM, PM

• Tech and Ops SME for carrier specific functionality and processes

• Well versed on cross carrier operations and upcoming products/service offered by HPS

• Identify operational and systematic process gaps

• Identify streamlined or alternative solutions for the carrier

• Focus on the technological ability of HPS systems

• Lead discussions and obtain clarity on all requirements (IDAR)

• Confirm requirements are complete and contain the appropriate solutions (Review and Approve)

• Review & Approve Business Analyst requirements

Design

• Confirm all requirements have been met from the BRD and for all functional areas

• Confirm SA, AE, AM are all in agreement

• SME support

Development

• SME support

QA

SME support and approver of test plans

• SME support for defects

Production

• Lead and manage Warranty Incident tickets to resolution

• Assess Warranty Incident tickets for systematic or operational resolution

• SME support for Go-Live processes (System change, Operations changes, Nerd, etc)

Sales/Technical Support

• Create adhoc processes that balance between manual and automated solutions

• Communicate upcoming features and benefits being offered to the client

• SME support for project approval meetings and gate reviews

• SME support for BA, BTA, AM, PM, and CPM

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of work experience in a technical/business environment

• Strong Health Insurance industry knowledge

• Business process reengineering and requirements analysis skills

• Experience with process and data flow diagramming preferred

• Knowledge of HPS client server and/or web-based applications

• Wide range of knowledge between business and IT processes

• Experience in relationship building or sales related activity

• Experience leading group efforts required

• Working with, presenting to, and setting expectations with large external customers

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Associate Degree or equivalent experience

• Bachelors of Science Preferred

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
