The global team supporting Office Operations is growing. To this team we would like to add a new role - to lead and drive ESG projects relating to data, reporting, governance, risk, strategy, and internal frameworks to meet our regulatory obligations, client requirements, and voluntary commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure ESG is strategically aligned to the Firm's ESG Agenda;
    By supporting the Regional COOs and General Counsel to deliver/promote the ESG strategy, through collaboration with the wider Firm and partnership, whilst acting as a key strategic advisor on the project approach, resource, and budget requirements to deliver on project goals
  • Establishment of an ESG Programme Management Office (PMO) to implement required project management methodologies and governance; Becoming the internal subject matter expert on complex/unfamiliar initiatives and disseminate subject information for stakeholders. You will also work to identify these key business stakeholders, monitor/report progress to stakeholder groups, and define the business case, project objectives, scope, resources and agreed set of expected benefits and outcomes
  • Delivery of the entire ESG Programme plan;
    Proactively manage project and programme risk, and operational risk by ensuring that key initiatives are delivered whilst maintaining oversight of the programme and coordinating planning across multiple workstreams/delivery teams, giving due consideration to firm wide priorities and dependencies
  • Project Management and execution of all projects and initiatives;
    Creating and maintaining high quality project plans and work packages that support delivery, ensuring that responsibilities are assigned to project resources, and drive implementation of new tools and solutions firmwide identified as project deliverables. You will be leading from the front, design, plan, and own the end-to-end delivery of a programme of work with multiple project sub-projects/workstreams

Qualifications and skills
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, with a significant track record of end-to-end delivery of projects, including demonstrable experience of shaping complex multi-workstream programmes, building momentum, and buy-in to a new project
  • A strong academic record, preferably of graduate level an advantage
  • Formal project management qualification, for example APMQ or MSP
  • Understanding of ESG principles and frameworks (e.g., CSRD, TCFD, CDP, UN Global Compact, Ecovadis, Modern Slavery, climate disclosures) is preferred. The ability to quickly learn and become effective in this area is necessary
  • Experience of leading business transformation projects, working with both internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the Firm at all levels, and with external parties
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, resources, priorities, and deliverables to tight deadlines
  • Demonstratable strong problem-solving skills, process-driven mindset, resourcefulness, and ability to meet responsibilities with minimal direct supervision

    Location & Reporting

    Based in London, and reporting to the Associate Director, Global Operations.
    Our standard office hours in London are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for
    3 days in the office per week.
    There will also be the potential to travel internationally.
