Position Summary

The Global Business Intelligence team is responsible for driving the Firm's data culture and vision, and implementing a coherent and innovative strategy for the management of data and the use of business intelligence throughout the firm. Working alongside data governance and development teams, our Business Analysis team is the main interface with the Firm for all business intelligence requirements. It is responsible for maintaining the Firm's existing framework of business analysis, including standard and ad-hoc analysis, while working in collaboration with our BI developers in transitioning to, promoting and supporting the Firm's business intelligence tools, including Power BI.

With the guidance of the Business Analysis Manager, the Business Analyst will help deliver on ad hoc analysis through data gathering and preparation, exploratory analysis, enrichment, and visualization. They will be required to expand their knowledge and skill-set to various functional areas of expertise - including Finance, HR/People, BD & Marketing and Knowledge - to support the development of clear requirements for new automated, standardized dashboards. The Business Analyst will take ownership of backlog items within the agile development cycle and ensure a consistently positive experience for stakeholders.

Duties and Accountabilities 1

• Provide first-level support in the delivery of high quality business intelligence reports and services - focusing mainly on Data Analysis and Data Visualization (for ad-hoc reports)

• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance; stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics.

• Utilise existing and build ad hoc datasets using DAX to support the team in creating PowerBI reports

• Understand the key data structures and data definitions that are available, and identify ways to share your knowledge within the broader BI group

• Be involved in any systems update covering business data used by our stakeholders.

• Support the planning, development, and implementation of Business Intelligence projects and initiatives particularly in the development of new and the adaption of existing Power BI Reports

• Prepare ad-hoc analysis and related commentary on various aspects of the business, as directed and in conversation with key stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives and improve business performance.

• Continuously be updated with the bugs and changes of the in housed reports and also Power BI as a whole.

• Partner with stakeholders and/or internal clients to ensure the delivery of high-quality business intelligence reports and analyses; accurately define and gather analytical and reporting requirements from business stakeholders.

• Work with stakeholders to drive engagement with the Firm's BI tools through training and outreach and provide app and report feedbacks, issues, suggestions etc. from stakeholders accurately back to the team.

• Comply with established protocols and procedures to ensure the quality of business intelligence deliverables.

• Identify and recommend improvements to data collection and analysis processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.

• Ensure that process documents are complete and updated with the necessary changes for the team to apply.

• Support training initiatives within the team by training colleagues and assisting in the development and implementation of training plans.
