About the role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Operational Risk Officer. Technology and Information Security Risk Management (TISRM) group is part of Operational Risk Management in Corporate Risk. TISRM is a 2nd line of Defense function responsible to oversee 1st line of Defense for Technology, Information Security, and Strategy, Digital & Innovation. This role is specifically for Information Security Risk Management Oversight.
In this role, you will:
Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk-based programs to identify, assess, and mitigate any operational risk arises from
inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or external events. Evaluate the adequacy of operational risk-related business management decisions, activities, policies, systems, operating processes, and mitigating actions.
Provide expertise (e.g., technology, information security, regulations, industry standards, and regulatory expectations) and consulting to complex
business units, issues, or initiatives.

Assess, review and challenge of WF Cybersecurity Strategies, policies, procedures, services, products, risks and controls.
Analyze data to identify insights and themes to determine impact, identify operational risk issues, and operational efficiencies.
Maintain key relationships with Cybersecurity Governance leadership, the information security evaluation team, the Cybersecurity policy governance office and must be able to work across IRM and FL Cybersecurity to ensure alignment and communication of Cybersecurity progress and/or opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Desired Qualifications:
- 7+years of Information security domain experience.
- 7+ years in IT risk management (includes operational risk, audit, IT systems security, IT business process management).
- - 5+ years in one or a combination of the following: Information Protection, Systems and Infrastructure Security, Application Security
- Information Security Experience
- Operational Risk Experience
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FFIEC, GLBA, Privacy, SEC, FINRA)
- Certified in Information Security or Operational Risk (CRISC, CISA, CISSP)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience leading, developing, and implementing information security strategies across a complex organization
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to develop independent risk opinion and put forth in writing/graphically (Research & analytic skills, critical thinking, clear and concise opinion)
- Ability to influence with excellent verbal communication (Clear, concise and organized arguments; strong listening skills, assert second line opinion in meetings with front line)
Adhere to I&P employee requirements.
Be able to communicate at a senior management level.
Attend meetings, provide feedback and build relationships with FL and IRM partners.
