Overview

As a member of the corporate FP&A team, the Sr Manager of Finance Operations will lead the FP&A team in the new Waters Global Capability Center (GCC). This role will need to work in close collaboration with the GCC leadership, Global stakeholders/Portfolio owners and Waters India Finance leadership. This role will drive growth-oriented business cases for the GCC, partner with multiple business units to align forecasts and budgets and support financial operations in the new capability center. This position will report to the Director of Corporate FP&A and will be located at the Waters Global Capability Center in Bangalore, India.

  • Act as subject matter expert to design, develop and execute Global Capability Center business proposals from inception to benefit realization
  • Ensure benefit alignment with Director of Corp FP&A located in US for business proposals
  • Manage and report on Global Capability spend. Ensure objectives are met.

Finance Operations Management

  • Design and develop new processes to manage Finance Operations within the new 300+ person Global Capability Center
  • Oversee site wide finance operational activities including cash, AP, payroll, purchasing, in conjunction with Waters Division India based team and Global Functions (e.g. travel, etc).
  • Coordinate Corp & local tax submissions, Legal entity reporting/filings, Audit, interaction with local audit and tax advisors with appropriate parties (including India based Waters Division Finance team)
  • Manage Finance accounting activities: Full maintenance of trial balance, management unit accounting, etc
  • Manage invoicing, true-ups and change orders with outsourced supplier for critical GCC services and associated monthly transactions

Partnership with Multiple Business Units: The global capability center provides resources and services to multiple Waters' divisions and functions across the globe.

  • Develop financials operating budgets and forecasts for GCC services and resources in conjunction with business unit and functional Finance teams
  • Design, develop and provide appropriate reporting to meet GCC, business unit and Finance team requirements

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive Finance experience
  • CA or ICWA qualified
  • Prior experience with multinational corporations
  • Experience financially developing, executing, and monitoring business proposals highly desired
  • Operates with integrity, transparency and humility
  • Acts as a true company owner to advance the overall interests of Waters
  • Carries a broad global perspective of markets, tech, and trends
  • Balances clear strategic thinking and accountability in execution to deliver results
  • Actively creates the conditions for Waters' people and teams to succeed
  • Firm grasp of time value of money concepts (NPV)
