Overview
The Sales Manager will lead and drive the commercial strategy and execution for Singapore. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the sales pipeline, and leading a high-performance team (or individual contributor accounts, depending on structure). The Sales Manager will ensure effective use of CRM, deliver accurate forecasts, and execute funnel management strategies to drive sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the territory sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Deliver sales forecasts with accuracy.
- Monitor sales performance and provide strategic insights to management.
- Manage and drive the sales funnel across all stages, from lead to close.
- Conduct regular funnel reviews with the sales team to ensure healthy pipeline coverage.
- Proactively identify gaps in pipeline and take corrective actions.
- Ensure consistent and accurate use of CRM system (e.g., Salesforce.com) for account tracking, opportunity management, and activity logging.
- Drive CRM compliance and maintain data hygiene to support business decisions.
- Leverage CRM analytics to improve win rates and customer engagement.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers, business partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee key account plans and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, service, application) to meet customer needs.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing and new markets.
- Lead commercial initiatives and promotional activities tailored to the Singapore market.
- Stay informed on competitive landscape and adjust go-to-market approach as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Masters in Science or relevant disciplines with minimum 6 to 8 years sales experience working within the Life Sciences industry.
- Prior experience in LC, LCMS and Consumables, such as LC columns and SPE products, will have an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Experience managing a team (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven track record in capital equipment or consumables sales.
