Overview
Waters is seeking a strategic, hands-on leader to drive data transformation across Asia Pacific as our Regional Business Intelligence Lead. In this high-impact role, you will develop and execute the regional data and insights strategy, partnering closely with commercial, marketing, and global analytics teams to influence business decisions and accelerate performance.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the evolution of data infrastructure and analytics capabilities for a global life sciences company. You'll work cross-functionally across highly matrixed teams to build a single source of truth, automate reporting, and deliver insights that drive regional strategy and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Infrastructure
- Define and implement APAC's business intelligence and analytics roadmap.
- Build and maintain regional data pipelines and reporting systems aligned with global standards.
- Oversee data integration from multiple sources (1st and 3rd party) into a unified performance view.
- Ensure data governance, accuracy, and consistency across commercial KPIs.
Performance Analytics & Insights
- Deliver actionable insights across sales, marketing, campaigns, and e-commerce performance.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on product, portfolio, customer behavior, and market share.
- Lead regular risk assessments and business continuity analysis for regional markets.
- Generate customer intelligence (demographics, patterns, and behavioral correlations).
Stakeholder Enablement & Collaboration
- Act as the regional BI liaison to global analytics teams.
- Conduct training, demos, and enablement sessions to increase adoption of data tools.
- Collaborate closely with product marketing leaders, regional managers, and commercial teams to align on business priorities.
- Lead stakeholder engagement with clarity, transparency, and results.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, economics, or business analytics.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, commercial, or business analytics roles.
- Proven experience leading data-driven initiatives and cross-functional analytics projects.
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Excel (VBA, PowerPivot).
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Skilled in setting up data warehouses, ETL processes, and automated dashboards.
- Familiarity with workflow automation, web scraping, and data protection best practices
Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, Google Analytics, and other digital marketing platforms.
- Exposure to machine learning applications (e.g., regression, classification, time series).
- Background in life sciences or experience supporting scientific/commercial teams.
