Overview

The General Manager for Brazil manages all Waters Division operations in the country, including all sales and service operations. S/he directs a team of approx. 55 people on top of a network of agents and third parties engaged in furthering Waters solutions in the market. Brazil is a key market for Waters that has experienced significant growth in the last years and will continue growing strongly in the foreseeable future. The Brazil GM is responsible for driving significant order and revenue growth in the region setting up commercial and services strategies and executing accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop a team of 55+ people in various functions such as Service, Sales and Technical Support, including managing managers. The leader is responsible for maintaining, hiring and building a best-in-class team.
  • Setting up commercial and service strategies for Brazil and ensuring flawless execution to achieve AOP and driving accountability, focus and results.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends by interacting intensely with local customers, agents and partners in the country, finetuning commercial strategies accordingly and moving Waters up the supplier hierarchy.
  • Build a winning culture that displays collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement efforts (processes, culture, structure)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in a scientific discipline, Business Administration or similar.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales and / or service, and 5 years of management experience (ideally managing managers). The ideal candidate will have sold to the pharma industry in the past.
  • Preferred: knowledge of pharma and Food & Environment markets in the region
