Chemistry Inside Sales Assistant

Overview

Chemistry Inside Sales Account Manager will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding customers' needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. The position will work in a fundamental role in achieving ambitious customer acquisition and business growth objectives by working closely with the field business group.

The primary responsibilities include preparing quotations for key accounts, managing leads in internal platform and resellers, and providing back-office support to enhance the efficiency of direct sales field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support order and sales of key accounts, resellers and MRO: creating quotations and customer code as well as entering orders through internal platform
  • Reseller management: registering new accounts, preparing quotations, providing product consultations, and managing sales processes
  • MQL management: qualifying leads and maximizing conversion from lead to opportunity coming via customer web inquiry on chemistry
  • Inside sales activities: conducting cold calls and sending e-blasts following marketing campaigns to develop and expand the chemistry business.
  • Back-office support: managing demo product physical in/out by recordkeeping through internal platform
  • Back-up for representative calls: providing back-up support for main phone line operations, excluding eCommerce-related inquiries and activities

Qualifications

Education:

  • University graduate or above with a major in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology

Experience:

  • 3+ years chromatography experience.
  • Good to have strong background on UPLC, Mass Spec and sales support
  • Overnight travel is required and international travel as needed

Skills:

  • Strong will to achieve sales goals, ability to solve problems and excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrates integrity, transparency, and humility in all actions.
  • Acts as a true company owner, advancing the overall interests of Waters.
  • Maintains a broad global perspective on markets, technology, and trends.
  • Balances clear strategic thinking with accountability in execution to deliver results.

  • Highly organized, well-prepared, and excels in time management.
  • Good to have strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS but not mandatory.
