Job Description

Your New Role

We are CNN. The world's most essential and engaging source of digital news. We are in the

The Coordinator, VOD Content, Streaming Content Experience will play a central role in shaping the on-demand news experience for our streaming platform. This individual will be responsible for selecting, editing, scheduling, and optimizing video-on-demand (VOD) content, ensuring the most relevant and engaging news segments are accessible to viewers across platforms. The role will require close collaboration with newsgathering verticals, editorial leads, and video teams to source the best available assets and maximize their impact through smart curation and data-informed programming decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

VOD Curation & Scheduling

  • Identify and program high-impact news segments, interviews, and packages for on demand consumption across the streaming platform.
  • Maintain a daily and weekly publishing cadence, aligning with editorial priorities and audience interest areas.
  • Edit or oversee light editing of VOD content as needed to ensure clarity, platform readiness, and contextual appropriateness.
  • Ensure content is correctly tagged, titled, and visually merchandised for maximum discoverability.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Be attuned to content performance data (e.g., completion rate, minutes viewed, impressions-to-views) to identify trends and optimize VOD programming.
  • Adjust scheduling or presentation of segments based on audience behavior and strategic KPIs.
  • Proactively test new editorial formats or packaging approaches to improve engagement and retention.

Editorial Collaboration & Asset Coordination

  • Partner with the merchandising senior manager, newsgathering and content verticals to identify emerging storylines and request appropriate clips or edits.
  • Work closely with the video production team to utilize and repurpose broadcast and digital footage for on-demand use.
  • Coordinate with graphics, metadata, and image teams to ensure visual and informational accuracy of VOD assets.

Platform Execution

  • Use content management systems (CMS) and scheduling tools to program and update VOD shelves and rails.
  • Troubleshoot content delivery or metadata issues in partnership with technical and content operations teams.
  • Align VOD offerings with major news cycles and thematic or tentpole editorial initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in news production, digital video, streaming, or editorial programming.
  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to identify timely, compelling segments for on-demand audiences.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere or similar).
  • Experience with CMS platforms, video publishing workflows, and metadata entry.
  • Analytical Skills: Comfortable reviewing performance data to derive insights and make strategic content decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with editorial, video, and technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; able to translate editorial goals into platform-native content executions.
  • High standard for quality control, accuracy, and publishing timeliness.
  • Prior experience in digital newsrooms or OTT/streaming content teams preferred
  • Familiarity with analytics dashboards (e.g., Looker, Adobe, or internal performance
  • tools) preferred
  • Interest in developing content formats tailored to evolving viewer behaviors in a mobile and on-demand environment preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $51,091.00 - $94,883.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
