Your New Role...
We're currently looking for a Senior Program & Broadcast Planner to take overall responsible for daily regional operations, promotional inventory management, and owned & operated marketing strategy within Sports.
In this role you will work to WBD's corporate priorities in a growing digital landscape and ever-changing linear business, coordinating and being on top of the constantly changing program inventory to optimise the use of programs and breaks. You'll maximise ratings in close cooperation with the Program & Broadcast Planning Nordics team and internal stakeholders across all regions and departments.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Be the main contact person for regional inquiries in broader operational issues for live sports.
- Coordinate and manage the promotional inventory for our Nordic Eurosport channels.
- Oversee the owned & operated marketing sports strategy for our FTA and Eurosport channels.
- Execute, maintain, and manage Sports program planning, promotional/commercial graphics and promotional trailer campaigns.
- Implement Marketing strategies and help shape the framework for the linear and digital promotion of live sports.
- Execute Content strategy both in our Nordic daily operations as well as in our long-term planning for live sports.
- Build, maintain and utilize knowledge and insights, and have understanding of program research and how to drive subscription growth from our linear strategies and initiatives.
- Have insight into competing digital and linear businesses in Nordic markets and their impact on WBD's platforms.
- Constantly strive to improve current processes and workflows both internally and externally.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Experience in a planning or coordinating role is a must.
- Passion for sports.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate both with team members within the Nordic unit and stakeholders across other departments and international regions.
- Agility and flexibility are a must within the Nordic Broadcast Planning unit, where roles and responsibilities are interchangeable depending on the market's needs.
- Able to quickly adjust to evolving linear and digital programming and promotional strategies.
- Solid understanding of live sports and commercial broadcasting is ideal.
- Understanding linear and digital scheduling practices and the ability to utilize these to improve performance of the schedule is a distinct advantage.
- Interest in and having an analytical approach and ability to understand program research and both the linear and digital competitive landscape.
- Excellent at problem solving and handling unexpected challenges.
- A team player, who is also able to work efficiently on own initiative, when required.
