Your New Role...
BluTV is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to oversee all end-to-end accounting activities in Turkey related to BluTV and its subsidiaries. This key accounting role will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with both local (Turkish GAAP) and corporate (US GAAP) standards.
This role will serve as the key liaison between BluTV and Deloitte, our outsourced accounting service provider, ensuring the successful stabilization and optimization of the outsourcing model initiated in January 2025. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing statutory financials, coordinating audits, supporting global financial reporting, and enhancing automation and efficiency of accounting workflows.
Your role accountabilities...
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Own and manage the complete accounting lifecycle for BluTV and its two subsidiaries in Turkey.
- Supervise Deloitte in their role of maintaining local books and preparing Turkish GAAP and US GAAP financial reporting packages.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting and local Turkish statutory financial statements.
- Oversee and validate Deloitte's preparation of the US GAAP bridge and input to account reconciliations.
- Review and approve account reconciliations, balance sheet flux analysis, SEC schedules, and management reports.
- Provide financial data and insights for global consolidation and reporting processes.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and support all audits, including statutory, internal audit, SOX, and other regulatory inspections.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with SEC, SOX, and other relevant corporate accounting and internal control guidelines.
- Work with external and internal stakeholders to implement remediation plans for identified gaps.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between BluTV and Deloitte, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of outsourced services.
- Collaborate closely with Tax, Global Business Services (GBS), Legal, FP&A and external vendors to align on financial reporting and compliance objectives.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Drive and implement improvements in local accounting operations, reporting processes, and workflows.
- Identify opportunities for automation of daily and monthly accounting tasks to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Champion the adoption of global best practices in accounting and internal controls.
Qualification & Experience...
- Master's degree in accounting or finance and strong experience of accounting/auditing in international environment.
- Knowledge of media / entertainment industry are considered an advantage.
- Understanding of Turkish GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP. Practical end-to-end understanding of reporting impact of accounted transactions is necessary to succeed in this role.
- Proficient and experienced in MS Office applications, Excel in particular.
- Strong communication skills in local language and in English.
- Experience with enterprise information systems, (SAP) a strong plus and preferred.
- Results oriented, strong attention to details, accuracy, timeliness, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- High Integrity team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with others and promote positive working relationships across the organization.
- Motivated by challenging, high-energy, flexible environment. Resilience and ability to work under conditions of pressure and adjust to urgent and changing situations.
- ACCA or CIMA completed qualification is considered as a strong advantage.
