Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a key member of the Walmart+ team, the Director, Strategic Partnerships plays a critical role at bringing to life our Walmart+ benefits on a variety of value territories. This person works with other leaders in the Walmart+ team and across the company to ensure Walmart+ members have a seamless experience, are aware and engage with Walmart+ benefits, and as a result are more satisfied with their Walmart+ membership. This includes leading a team that manages our value-proposition partnerships with a variety of companies including Paramount, Exxon Mobil, Murphy USA, Expedia and others, leading partner's Go To Market plans, working with other teams inside Walmart+ to drive acquisition and retention through benefit engagement, ensuring we are abiding by the terms of our agreements, coordinating with internal teams on marketing activities, in store activations, merchandising opportunities, and other relevant activities including Walmart Connect, data insights, etc.

Other critical responsibilities include:

Leads standard presentations to senior partners related to strategic partnerships. Leads cross-functional strategic initiatives and encourages team members to cultivate relationships across the businesses. Establishes best practices for team members to collaborate with associates from different areas of the business. Establishes shared goals and information-sharing platforms to foster collaboration. Resolve issues related to collaborative efforts in varying business conditions.

Facilitates contractual negotiations and articulates Walmart negotiating positions and addresses other parties' strengths/weaknesses through active listening techniques. Prepares senior leaders for negotiations by creating factual, rational, and compelling data-based insights/arguments and drives win-win outcomes for Walmart and Walmart partners. Ensures negotiations adhere to company and regulatory processes, values, and policies. Seeks guidance on and escalates complex legal and/or regulatory issues.

Devises and makes recommendations and guides the implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions for complex issues affecting strategic partnerships. Collaborates with stakeholders across multiple functions to drive the implementation of solutions. Utilizes subject-matter expertise to proactively anticipate and prevent problems.

Understands the drivers of the financial metrics that impact strategic partnerships. Performs analyses based on independent reasoning to draw appropriate conclusions. Analyzes business and financial data and supports the implementation and tracking of business plans that enable the attainment of financial goals related to strategic partnerships. Understands the impact of factors and trends that may affect financial performance. Communicates the results of financial analyses to diverse audiences.

Develop and track KPIs, ensures we are operating at peak performance, and identifies and implement new business opportunities within the context of existing partnerships to meet current and future business needs. Ensures data quality and organization and processes information for analysis. Defines benchmarks and quality rules for key data assets related to strategic partnerships. Identifies opportunities for improving data-driven decision-making in the strategic partnership area. Identifies and proposes ways to automate and/or improve existing processes in the strategic partnership area with the help of technology. Demonstrates a working knowledge of data analysis and insights techniques and their applications to strategic partnerships.

Manages project(s) or multiple work streams involving strategic partnerships utilizing project evaluation tools, methods, and performance dashboards. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00



















Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
