Senior Revenue Analyst

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Analyze and interpret large agreements and revenue contracts:
- Within 30 days of employment, become competent with EUC revenue rules, guidelines, and standard operations.
- You will work closely with DMT and other cross-functional teams to ensure proper compliance with revenue recognition rules and guidelines. You will also ensure proper procedure with local accounting standards specifically, ASC 606 and US GAAP.
Assist in contract negotiations:
- During contract negotiations, you will interpret and evaluate business cases including the ability to develop & use fallback options.
- Be prepared with and effectively present to your manager or peers any necessary data to draw valid conclusions and resolve problems to help reduce the time until a successful sales opportunity is closed.
- For non-standard deal structures you will prepare the revenue accounting position memo and journal entries as needed.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
The primary need is to support the business throughout contract negotiation through tightened business partnership with cross-functional teams, specifically Deal Management Team. Also, review completed deal review checklists and general revenue documents and contracts. You will be expected to critically evaluate technical accounting conclusions, customer requests and provide well-reasoned solutions to enable management, in coordination with sales, legal, finance and all other cross-function partners.
Your regular activities may be modified to suit your professional strengths, but you can expect a variety of the following assignments:
- Ability to critically evaluate customer requests and provide well-reasoned solutions to enable management, in coordination with other cross-functional teams to successfully conclude sales opportunities
- Review deals pre-booking to support forecasting deliverables
- Work closely with sales management, legal and sales operations to ensure proper compliance with revenue recognition rules and guidelines
- Review customer contracts and purchase orders to identify potential revenue recognition issues and ensure proper revenue treatment
- Review customer statements of work to identify potential revenue recognition issues and ensure the contracts are within company guidelines.
- Assist with quarterly and annual internal/external audit requests
- Assist with other accounting projects/areas as necessary
- Complete close tasks quarterly
- Manage various queries in the deal inbox
