Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will represent the PR function to our internal audiences and have great visibility into company strategy and product roadmaps. Our approach to public relations is an integrated one, free of silos, with a global focus. You will join a growing Corporate Communications team of creative, can-do colleagues who collaborate to manage global public relations, industry analyst relations, organic social media, blogs, reputation, and external customer communications.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

We're looking for someone who is a passionate communicator, storyteller, and news junkie who wants to always participate in that next story. You will work across internal product and marketing leaders to deliver a drumbeat of tech news and industry conversations in earned and owned media, with particular emphasis on our integrated social media strategy for the first 6+ months. In partnership with the events and brand team, you will help develop stories, assets, and possible media moments to build brand awareness and earn positive sentiment for Omnissa as a standalone company. You'll also stand up a framework for how the company engages with PR: process, policy and expectations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Communications and support on all external public relations activations.
  • Media Engagement: Team with agency to execute on press outreach, from target lists to pitches to coverage reports. Develop and maintain a priority target list of B2B and trade journalists and editors. Build, foster and strengthen key media relationships for the company.
  • Communication Materials: Work closely with the PR agency to develop communications materials, with a focus on landing a wide range of placements that support our brand across verticals, channels and geos.
  • Press Briefings: Help execute and/or oversee press briefings (digital, in person or as part of a larger event). Prep company spokespersons with briefing books and scheduled pre-briefings in advance of press opportunities, events and interviews.
  • Partner closely with our social media and editorial teams to align plans and drive better outcomes collectively.
  • Programs and administration: Maintain PR tools, own metrics reporting, develop presentations, and produce press coverage and analysis reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with Global Comms colleagues to identify and leverage best practices and ensure "red thread" message through earned and owned channels

Desired Skills

  • Minimum 5 years formal PR and/or communications experience (software industry experience preferred)
  • Experience in the technology landscape, with a track record of technology placements in a variety of media verticals
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and coordinate tasks to meet multiple deadlines
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced culture of change and innovation
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated individual who works well under pressure
  • Flexible and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to a high-change environment
  • Ability to drive collaboration with functional and technical teams to achieve solutions

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $96,000 - $230,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. EUC, a division of Broadcom, offers comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to: medical, dental, and vision plans, company paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
