We are looking for a Senior Communications and PR Manager for North America, reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, North America. This role can be based in either New York of San Francisco. As Senior Communications Manager, you will be in charge of developing our thought leadership strategy in North America and be accountable for our public perception. You'll work closely with our marketing and communications teams to develop communications plans that involve high-level placements in business and trade media.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute regional communications strategies and programs to drive media coverage. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, commercial leads, and senior leadership to craft compelling messaging and local storylines. 
  • Manage and own relationships with PR agencies in the US and Canada to build excellent relationships with key media and secure media opportunities. Build and manage North American executive thought leadership. Assists executive leadership and board of directors in developing bylines, brand voices, presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.
  • Ensure alignment with the company's strategic direction across all of the region’s external communications channels to ensure consistent messaging and positive brand positioning. 
  • Work closely with North America business leads and content teams to build our local storytelling and public profile. Coordinate merchant wins and support case study efforts in the region. 
  • Collaborate with global communications teams to ensure consistent and effective messages, coordinate on media briefings, product launches, etc.
  • Support execution and amplification for paid advertising campaigns, PR initiatives, events, product announcements, and marketing campaigns. 
  • Support with corporate internal communications.

Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience in the communications field.
  • Experience in B2B enterprise; fintech experience a plus
  • Flexible & tenacious: does what it takes to get things done and has the ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Proven experience of PR and external agency management.
  • Understanding of the business and trade media landscape in North America.
  • Collaborative nature and team player; a desire to work in an international environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, think ahead, engage proactively, and make great things happen. 
  • Successful track record in high tech branding to business audiences. 
  • Strong project management skills.

  • This role is based out of our NYC or SF office. We have a hybrid workplace and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
  • This role requires domestic and international travel
