Job Description

What it's all about: 

The UX Design Lead will join a new Product & Experience Design consulting practice within Visa with the purpose of helping to grow our clients’ business (Fortune 500) through a human centric approach to digital experience design. This individual is a strategic, full-stack user experience designer with hands-on human centered design thinking, UX/UI, research, service design, prototyping, facilitation, and strong client-facing skills. With the guidance of our studio’s Design and Innovation leadership, the designer will deliver polished UX/UI artifacts and human-centric digital design expertise for our clients. 


This designer should have industry leading design chops, consultative design strategy experience, and a fluency to ‘speak’ product management and tech. This designer will need to develop a nuanced understanding of emerging digital payment trends as well as Visa’s capabilities and services in order to effectively leverage the right products and services at the right time in the solutions we design.

Responsibilities

·       Conduct and lead client engagements representing PxD and our design Point-of-View to clients, industry leaders, and internal product managers.

·       Design, lead and facilitate client workshops then synthesize insights into defensible visions, frameworks, and concepts using human-centered design and lean start-up processes.

·       Rapidly convert ideas into working prototypes, meshing-together solutions/capabilities that exist within Visa or externally.

·       Conduct and/or support in-depth market testing using various qualitative and quantitative research methods

·       Develop a nuanced understanding of emerging digital payment trends as well as Visa’s capabilities and services to effectively leverage the right products and services at the right time. This designer is creative, curious, and hands-on, has a bias toward action and inspires others with their vision.

·       Demonstrate a nuanced understanding of Visa’s capabilities and be able to apply them to clients’ business problems to actively engage with clients and co-develop meaningful solutions to address their challenges.

·       Strong hands-on designer with fluency across design specializations and deep dive expertise in one or more of the following areas: prototyping, Journey map design,  UI, front end development

·       Use business as a lens to inspire fellow designers about new possibilities by sharing innovative business models and product offerings with your teams.

·       Energize and improve the status quo using creativity and intelligent, calculated risks to deliver new products and processes that surpass clients’ expectations, demonstrating new methods, capabilities, and mindset

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

What we'd like from you - 

-Proven experience in UX/Product Design, with a portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
-Advanced proficiency in design tools and software, with the ability to guide and improve team usage and standard methodologies.
-Experience in leading design projects from conception to completion, across multiple platforms and devices.
-Experience and proven track record running client engagements, demonstrating excellence in presentation polish, and strong client orientation
-Experience in creating user experience maps, service blueprints, wireframes, polished user interface design, rapid prototyping, and presentations that communicate the strategy
-Strong fluency in digital design softwares including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
-Strong knowledge of human centered design thinking, service design, and user research 
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
-Financial Services and payment industry experience needed.
