Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Treasury Systems Test Engineering Director will oversee the team that performs test automation, application testing, resource planning and management of test resources for the Network Processing Clearing and Settlement Systems area. The role needs a solid knowledge of software development and test processes, test automation and performance tools in an open systems environment. The ideal candidate will be a lively leader, great communicator, have proven skills in test engineering, development and most importantly be customer and team focused. The candidate will manage and supervise assigned technical staff, collaborate with peers in the development and test engineering teams within Payment Processing Development as well as senior management and other groups across the organization.

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide guidance to engineers on their daily tasks including hands-on coding/testing when required.

  • Help build a talented organization by motivating, mentoring, and hiring critical talent.

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards including code reviews, use of Git for code repository and leveraging Artifactory for application builds.

  • Work with manager and peers to execute test automation strategy for Treasury Systems

  • Collaborate with development teams to improve development and test processes.

  • Ensure adherence to test processes including test documentation, peer reviews and stakeholder signoffs.

  • Provide estimates and resource plans for Treasury Systems projects.

  • Work with internal and external clients to support project testing requirements.

  • Contribute to code and load quality initiatives.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Hands-on engineering leadership experience in building test automation and performance testing enterprise level applications.
  • Experience managing a large team of software and test engineers in a Linux based environment using open-source technologies.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodology, and test automation tools/frameworks for UI and backend applications
  • Familiarity with methods and techniques for managing programs and projects.
  • Passion for high quality software engineering
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and inter-personal skills.
