What it’s all about?
We are seeking a leader to work directly with key Irish clients to deliver positive change for Visa, the client and, most importantly, their customers.

The candidate will be the conduit to the Irish market and be tasked with the go-to-market and product management for Visa Core Products & Solutions in Ireland, incl. the development of client specific product strategies and propositions.
The candidate will have demonstrated a strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of customer trends, pain points and needs, and will build this into business cases for Visa and value cases for the clients.
The candidate will be responsible for creating and managing the structures and processes for go-to-market activities and proposition development in Ireland, facilitating both short term progress and long-term strategic achievements.
The candidate will be required to work in a complex matrix environment across Visa and the assigned Visa client base, collaborating with and managing stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure delivery of joint priorities.
The candidate will play a key role in the direction and strategy of customer and Visa’s account strategy. As part of this, the candidate will lead the Product narratives and responses for key RfIs/ RfPs, in close collaboration with Account Executives, cross-functional teams, and European Product (“Hub”) teams.
What we expect of you, day to day.
Lead the day-to-day management of Visa customer product strategy in Ireland, including both short term and long-term strategic planning, and alignments with Country Manager.
Utilise data insights, market research and sound commercial acumen to develop propositions, following the Visa proposition development process.
Regular cross-functional communications, both formally and informally, to ensure the matrix team is aligned to and actively delivering against our goals.
Collaborate with counterparts inside the assigned banks, developing a deep understanding of their pain points and needs, and building relationships across the technology, business and delivery teams.
Independently run Account Executive, Country Manager and client engagements and manage the end-to-end process, incl. stakeholder plan, proposition workshops, tracking & monitoring of progress, required escalations.
Lead product narrative responses for key client engagements, e.g., RfIs/ RfPs, proposition workshops and specific product deep-dives.
Identify new opportunities and collaboratively work with Account Executives, market leadership team, UK&I Product, Hub teams, Value-Added Services, and Sales Excellence to convert AANR with a short time to revenue. This includes being hands-on with MS Dynamics and help progress opportunities across the pipeline stages.
Execute against the Visa 2030 Ireland Strategy, incl. driving the adoption of new use cases and payments form such as Visa Intelligent Commerce or Visa A2A
Lead annual planning initiatives for the Irish market and closely liaise with Country Manager, Account Executives, Product Owners and UK&I Leadership Team.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What we're after...
- Substantial knowledge of Irish Financial Services & payments ecosystem, new and emerging trends, regulatory & market landscape and existing issuer capabilities.
- Have or develop very quickly a strong understanding of all key Visa Consumer Solutions, incl. propositions, revenue & adoption levers, and required Product Owner support
- Substantial experience leading on end-to-end product and proposition narratives for Financial Services companies in Ireland. Can confidently pitch a range of matured or nascent products & propositions and use cases to clients, incl. senior management teams, product and technical audiences, requiring minimal supervision, and displaying broad product and proposition knowledge.
- Self-starter, with the ability to think and act independently, whilst always aligning and balancing the customer priorities to the Visa 2030 and Ireland market strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills/ability to influence with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, specifically in working in a ‘matrixed’ environment.
- Is able to manage several small or mid-sized projects at the same time, with limited supervision and a proactive approach of involving stakeholders
- Is able to interrogate the commercial impact of delivering a products for a client, both in terms of revenue driven for Visa and for the client.
- Has the ability to bring a strategic mindset and a structured approach to go-to-market, addressing blockers quickly, and identifying areas of improvements to expedite time to launch & revenue
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Regular travel across the Ireland market and infrequent travel to London required.
