Job Description
Visa Open Banking is seeking a dynamic product development leader to drive the creation and commercialization of innovative open banking payment solutions—such as Pay By Bank and Account-to-Account—for our global client base, including financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, and platforms.
You will have deep experience in open banking payments and a strong understanding of industry standards and trends across key markets, especially Europe, North America, and Brazil. You will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—from identifying and prioritizing new products, to managing development (not coding), launching, and driving adoption—while collaborating across cross-functional teams in sales, product, technology, risk, operations, and marketing.

We’re looking for a senior thought leader with a proven track record in fast-paced environments who is passionate about delivering outstanding user experiences and building brand loyalty. Occasional travel to client and Visa locations worldwide may be required
Essential Functions
- Develop Open Banking Payments strategy roadmap to drive the creation and execution of multiple new products and triage additions/changes to the roadmap, as needed
- Be fully responsible for commercial success of product development strategy, innovation launch and commercialization
- Partner with Sales Account Executives, Visa Client Consulting, Product Strategy, Risk Products, Innovation and Digital teams to understand B2C and B2B user needs, pain points and opportunities
- Partner with finance, strategy, legal and other functions to define pricing strategy, pricing model, and incentives approaches, as applicable
- Define the business case for funding, build internal support, design the execution roadmap and establish success metrics
- Collaborate with Global functions to develop the detailed product requirements and execute the technology build
- Effectively communicate the commercialization roadmap across the organization
- Establish program and work across Sales, Marketing, Risk and Customer Support to fulfill product and launch objectives
- Define, coordinate, and manage customer support strategy and execution
- Develop guides and best practice tools for clients and partners to use during commercialization and support ongoing usage going forward
- Be a thought leader for developing the overall Open Banking Payments Product vision, business plans and overall development roadmap
- Influence policy when needed
- Develop presentations and facilitate update meetings with the senior leadership team, and actively manage organizational expectations regarding product and enhancement rollouts
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Self-starter with a bias toward action and proven track record for successfully developing, building, launching and commercializing technology products that delight customers
- Experience leading product management, project management and or management consulting
- Experience designing cross-platform products
- Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results
- Ability to inspire direct reports, where applicable, and influence those without direct management responsibility
- Possess a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers
- Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation necessary. Active listening skills required
- Proven project development experience
- Strong sense of urgency and experience driving to successful commercialization
- Ensure personal efforts are integrated and aligned with functional objectives
- Strong collaboration and influence skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams to drive deliverables, projects and engagements to completion
- Take prompt, decisive action after analyzing relevant information
- Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way
- Comfort working closely with Engineering and/or Systems Architects required
- Experience partnering with technologists using Agile or other expedited design and development methodologies preferred
- Project Management certification a plus
- Visa and financial/payment industry knowledge is a plus, but not required
