Team Summary

The Cross-Border Solutions team plays a pivotal role in the company, focusing on the development and execution of Cross-Border business strategies and managing Cross-Border strategic projects. The team is under Products and Solutions team, which is responsible for the design and implementation of effective commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and expansion of Visa Cross Border business.

What a Director, Cross-border Solutions does at Visa:

This role will focus on:

  • Strategizing, managing, and assessing the performance of the Cross-Border business.

  • Propelling Cross-Border cross-function efforts across the business to drive existing business as well as initiate new strategic projects.

  • Establish, review, and uphold excellence in Cross-Border strategy planning and operations.

  • Ensure efficient execution and governance of Cross-Border initiatives across the business.

  • Act as a thought leader and critical business partner to key business functions in Greater China, AP and Global.

  • Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and lead initiatives for Greater China cross-border partnerships.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need:

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in commercial roles with a focus on Strategy and/or Sales, ideally within the financial services, technology, or consulting industry.
• Demonstrated customer-centric approach, coupled with exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to identify the strategic needs of the business and provide insightful management reporting to the senior leadership team.
• Significant experience in leading, directing, and facilitating complex projects that promote organizational change and enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
• Familiarity with the Cross-Border commerce/payment ecosystem and business model, as well as strategic partnership with key players in this area
• Proficiency in utilizing project and portfolio management tools to achieve successful outcomes.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of effectively conveying messages to a diverse range of stakeholders.
• A proactive, positive mindset that thrives in a collaborative environment and is not hindered by hierarchical structures.

• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the payment services industry, particularly in relation to cross-border payment and sales processes.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading diverse teams and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and use it to inform strategic decisions.
