Job Description

Position Summary

The Visa Consulting Senior Manager will deliver consulting support and projects to VISA's key clients in CISSSE. The main objective of the role is to help Visa clients to improve performance of their card portfolios by implementing holistic approach to portfolio management as well as conducting portfolio performance optimization activities. The Manager will also support the development of VCA’s tools and approaches for card portfolio management.

 Principal Responsibilities, Key Results Area

  • Deliver Consulting projects. Resolve complex strategic problems. Synthesize and manage complex project structures when required. Manage, facilitate and implement consulting services and meet client's business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants' and other vendors’ supervision and project delivery)
  • Work closely with VISA vendors and other VISA groups, including Product, Digital Solutions, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Marketing etc., to ensure optimal outcomes for VISA clients

If required manage external experts and or campaign managers for projects that require external support:

1. Maintain excellent liaison and supervision of external consultants' deliveries.

2. Assist in selecting, recruiting, and onboarding of external experts.

3. Coordinating and managing day-to-day activities of external experts.

  • If required work on client site to design and project manage the implementation of the initiatives identified during the consulting engagements
  • Develop project pitches and secure new Consulting assignments with clients, as well as re-engagements opportunities via a consultative sales approach in assigned markets.
  • Using VISA and external data to analyze client needs across the focus markets and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with VISA’s key clients.
  • Develop and deliver client training programs and impart best practices knowledge sharing to VISA clients.
  • Liaise with VISA functional teams (Finance, Audit, Legal, Tax, Sourcing) to define and implement processes to optimize the daily engagement of vendors and the relationships with clients.
  • Manage the VISA Consulting budget and resources to perform all required duties.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Key Competencies

• At least 5 years of experience in card portfolio management or customer relationship management functions at a major retail bank or a card issuer
• Proficiency in card portfolio performance analysis, development of card portfolio development strategy, implementing systematic approach to card portfolio management and hands on experience in running portfolio optimization campaigns
• Experience in using campaign management and or CRM tools (e.g. SAS Campaign Manager)
• Highly analytical with advanced skills with data manipulation and analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Python, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Experience in management consulting within Retail banking and/or payments space will be a very strong plus
• Advanced client contact and presentation skills. Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to extract desired outcomes. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and VISA
• Superior project management skills. Fluent communicator
• Results driven, flexible and both internally and externally customer focused.
• Able to travel frequently and work on client site
• Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred
• Fluency in English and Russian is mandatory. Kazakh, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Turkish and Ukrainian would be important assets
