The Regional Sales Team is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team and manage relationships with our key clients in Mexico. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about forging strong partnerships and has a relentless drive to bring new business to Visa.

1. Revenue Generation and Business Development:

  • Opportunity Identification: Identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Proactively develop opportunities, manage sales pipelines, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to grow both client and Visa’s business.

2. Financial Analysis and P&L Understanding:

  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize strong analytical and numerical skills to analyze financial data and generate insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of P&L statements, understanding how various financial products and services impact Visa’s and client’s bottom line.
  • Revenue Management: Apply financial acumen to manage revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance tracking.

3. Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management:

  • Key Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various functions within client organizations.
  • Trusted Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business needs and challenges, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and providing tailored Visa solutions.

4. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Team Alignment: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Visa to ensure alignment and execution of business development initiatives.

5. Client Satisfaction and Issue Resolution:

  • Exceptional Client Service: Ensure client satisfaction and loyalty by delivering exceptional service and value.
  • Issue Resolution: Effectively address and resolve any issues or concerns, ensuring clients have a positive experience with Visa.

6. Market Insight and Strategic Decision-Making:

  • Market Awareness: Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Informed Decision-Making: Leverage this knowledge to inform strategic decisions and initiatives, ensuring Visa remains a leader in the payments industry.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree with at least 7+ years of relevant experience in sales and/or relationship management.
  • Industry Knowledge: The ideal candidate will have knowledge and interest in working within the Payments and technology industry. Knowledge of the fintech ecosystem and regulatory environment is highly desired.
  • Client-Centric Experience: Considerable experience in managing key accounts and stakeholders, ideally in financial institutions, consulting firms, or large retailers.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Team Player: Results-driven team player, organized, resilient, and capable of operating independently and managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ability to operate effectively and independently in a multi-functional, challenging, and fast-paced environment.
  • Learning Agility: Possess high learning agility, passionate about sales, with a sense of humor and a global mindset.
