The role 

The Sales Development Representative, Marketing will serve as the link between our Marketing and Sales departments. Your core responsibility will be to qualify new business opportunities by regularly engaging with contacts that fit Vim’s ICP to establish trusted relationships. To excel in this role, you must possess experience in generating meaningful interactions with marketing-qualified leads and celebrate and love marketing, demand gen, and all things revenue-generating. You should be able to effectively communicate and build trust with Vim’s ICPs to establish long-term partnerships and understand the art of surprising and delighting prospects without selling. Your excellent communication skills will be leveraged through the most critical stages of the buyer’s journey as you work to foster strong customer relationships from the initial contact until the booking of the demo. Additionally, you will be in charge of lead handoff and liaising with our sales/commercial team to ensure a seamless sales process together with the growth marketing team. 

This hire is a critical milestone in further aligning the sales and marketing (Smarketing) functions. Ultimately, your contribution to the marketing and sales team will play a vital role in scaling Vim’s growth and elevating the role marketing and demand gen play in the revenue engine.

What you will do

  • Responsible for qualifying and managing an extensive pipeline of sales opportunities derived from marketing campaigns and/or your own proactive research 
  • Join and be active in associations, social groups, and other channels where our ICPs are active (esp as we build our new developer platform and need to explore new areas like Medium or GitHub)  (e.g. industry webinars, association community channels, community platforms, etc.) 
  • Contact potential clients through meaningful LinkedIn messages, calls and emails
  • Work closely with the marketing team to leverage our data from our ABM program to innovative and meaningful outreach to gain interest from our ICP
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and sales directors and handles handoff to sales 
  • Work closely with the commercial team under the leadership of the demand gen lead to support buying cycle activities
  • Act as a liaison, linking sales and marketing to qualify content-generated leads and increase sales revenue
  • Coordinate with marketing to identify new events or opportunities to engage potential customers in person - ​​conduct thorough pre-event research using past attendee lists, event hashtags, speaker lists, etc., to begin outreach to potential prospects on LinkedIn and help set meetings for our commercial team
  • Handle all sales-related queries that come through marketing and demand gen campaigns and activities initially and escalate where necessary
  • Support brand awareness across all digital channels -  e.g. comments on LinkedIn pulse articles, payer articles, follow ICPs and engage in their content, likes, re-posts and promote thought leaders in this space

What you will need 

  • 3-6 years of proven work experience in Business Development, Marketing Demand Generation, or similar role under Marketing management
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales & marketing  techniques (including cold calls)
  • Creative problem solver and ability to manage stressful situations whilst juggling multiple challenges
  • Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Track record of achieving sales and marketing goals - Demos, response rate, etc.
  • Experience with CRM software such as Hubspot, Salesforce, Outreach, etc. 
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of marketing & sales performance metrics -  CPC, CTR, MQL, SQL, etc 
  • Excellent communication, authentication, emotional intelligence, and online behavior skills (people person)
  • Recognized as a high-energy, accomplished leader with a strong reputation for developing innovative outreach strategies to achieve success
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Healthcare/health information technology industry experience  
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field experience 
  • Be located in commuting distance to our amazing Vim NYC Offices located in the Chelsea area of Manhattan!

  • Experience working with international teams and/or Israeli organizations

Compensation and benefits includes:

  • Salary Range:  Annual salary range between $90,000-$125-000 USD
  • Equity Compensation: Stock options subject to the company policy and board of directors approval
