PEX Technician

Loveland, CO

CO Salary Range: USD 24.00 - 34.00 per hour

This hands-on position will lead activities focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity in the manufacturing processes and supporting areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, track, control, analyze, review and report data daily on process cycle time and downtime.
  • Support data collection, review, analyze and report on team performance and support overall feedback loop to internal customers.
  • Support and lead problem solving sessions and initiative to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost.
  • Lead initiatives on shop floor organization and standard work implementation (5S).
  • Assist and support PEX awareness to train PEX tools and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Interact with factory, regional and global support teams for improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost
  • Assist and support the launch of new products (NPI) into the factory.
  • All other duties assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to present and communicate information to local, regional, and global functions.
  • Flexible to change, shift, working hours and departments on short notice.
  • Ability to organize and adapt management of time and routine based on daily objectives.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to physically work on-site on factory floor with technicians and production team members as job assignments require.
  • Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers, and follow verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the duration of the task.
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to tolerate an environment where chemicals and materials are used within OSHA guidelines.
  • Regular & reliable attendance.

Education, Training, and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Work history of at least one year in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred but not mandatory experience in process improvement methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean, 5S imaging, Value Stream Mapping, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Understanding of general Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost in a manufacturing environment.
  • General understanding of problem-solving and the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings, and drive change.
  • Strong communicator with ability to influence, motivate and to build consensus and gain support at the factory level.
  • Experience in improvement projects as leader, facilitator, or team member.
  • Ability to use computer with Microsoft office such as outlook, power point and excel.
  • Ability to understand, communicate and create diagrams, graphs, charts, tables, visual aids, and general work instructions.

Employees are responsible to perform duties related to generating and storing hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas. Must remain within regulatory and internal compliance when using, handling, or segregating hazardous materials and waste. While performing duties of the job there may be exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals and noise levels that would require specific PPE in an OSHA controlled environment

Compensation Rage: $24.00-34.00
