As an economist, you will:

Stay ahead of market-moving events by proactively tracking economic, market, and political developments in key regions. - Model and Analyze Economic Trends

Work closely with researchers within the Capital Markets team and across the broader Investment Strategy Group to translate economic insights into actionable investment intelligence.
Use analytical tools and programming languages to support data analysis and model development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on global economic, market and political developments. International economics and financial markets experience a plus.
- Build and maintain quantitative models focused on key macroeconomic indicators.
- Produce high-quality research reports for senior investment leaders and Vanguard clients.
- Represent research and viewpoints to internal stakeholders and Vanguard clients through speaking engagements.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes:
- Five years related work experience, including four years investment management experience. Econometrics or economics research experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in finance or economics or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
- CFA preferred.
This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays - Thursdays required in our offices to foster collaboration and relationships. On Mondays and Fridays, our crew will have the option to work remotely, or continue working from our offices in Malvern PA. Relocation assistance is available to the Malvern area.
