The Vanguard advisors' website is a critical tool in serving the needs of financial advisors who are considering or doing business with Vanguard. The site aims to give advisors the information, tools, and insights to help them better serve their clients, highlighting Vanguard as a trusted partner.
The Vanguard Financial Advisor Services Digital team is hiring an experienced, outcome- and client-centric product manager to focus on two strategic opportunities: personalization and products. This product manager will take the lead in shifting the Advisors' site from a one-size-fits-all to tailored experience based on each advisor's needs and context, while also maintaining and enhancing our popular ETF and mutual fund pages. They will work with a highly talented and collaborative team, comprised of engineers, a UX designer, an analyst, and a scrum master, in close partnership with a UX strategist and user researcher.

The Digital Product Manager will be responsible for both product discovery and delivery-researching and experimenting to discover the right opportunities that advisors value and that drive the team's outcomes, as well as bringing these new capabilities and features to life with the broader agile team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong outcome orientation; an owner's mindset, including overcoming obstacles to get things done; deep client-centricity; clear communication skills; and use data, research, and context to make good product decisions.
The successful product manager for personalization and products will:
- Use product management, agile, and design thinking practices to lead your cross-functional team through the end-to-end product development process: from identifying the right problem, to experimenting to validate potential solutions, to iteratively launching and evaluating new features.
- Define our vision and strategy around personalization and products, in close collaboration with a UX strategist, technical architect, and Digital/MarTech leadership.
- Constantly look for unmet advisor needs and prioritize small and large enhancements to better address them.
- Communicate findings and recommendations through compelling presentations and strategic roadmaps.
- Leverage leadership skills to rally a team of cross-disciplinary experts
- Develop and apply knowledge of the U.S. advisor industry, the Vanguard Financial Advisor Services offer, and the Vanguard Advisors' website to make informed recommendations.
- Previous or current product manager experience is required with strong understanding of product life cycle and product discovery.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.
