About the Team

Reporting to the Sr Director, Procurement Operations and Compliance, the Manager of Software Asset Management (SAM), shall lead in the day-to-day activities and strategic development of the SAM program at UKG.

About the Role

As a Manager, Software Asset Management, you will report directly to the Sr Director, Operations and Compliance and be responsible for the development and management of the SAM team. You will Implement the strategy provided by Operations and Compliance leadership by optimizing the value, cost, and risk of software. Areas of management include audit response, software request processes, and license management life cycle.

In this role you'll be responsible for the following:
• Track take-out opportunities from adding products and technologies to the SAM program.
• Implement optimization and remediation projects as defined by the Sr. Director Operations & Compliance
• Stay informed of new and updated software license models and options for key vendor products
• Track and report progress against the UKG SAM roadmap
• Manage license management and software request processes leveraging USU and ServiceNow technologies
• Facilitate internal licenses education updates through newswires within internal communications channels.
• Partner internally with the purchasing workflow teams to ensure understanding of software rights and usage entitlements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Partner with architecture and business teams to understand potential license or maintenance costs increases tied to technology changes.
• Execution and ongoing review of policies
• Create and deliver reports for leadership and other stakeholders

About You

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of Software Asset Management principals / practices
• Knowledge of product use rights for publishers such as Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec, IBM, VmWare etc.
• Understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies, specifically USU and ServiceNow
• Familiarity with hardware technology and configurations including virtualization
• Strong written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams
• 3+ years experience in IT or SAM role

The pay range for this position is $99,800.00 to $150,000.00 USD, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
