Sr. Application Analyst - Work Management

About the Role

The Work Management team at Uber is tasked with managing work management platforms like Atlassian, Asana, etc.. The Senior Application Analyst will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and Jira developers/admins, translating business needs into technical solutions. You will be leading multiple digitization initiatives for engineering, business and operational processes for multiple business units in Uber. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships. This role is critical to project success, from gathering requirements to ensuring seamless delivery.

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Documentation & Requirements: Develop and maintain clear, structured documentation of business processes and workflows. Accurately translate business needs into technical specifications and collaborate with technical leads on solution design.
  2. Testing: Test Jira projects and workflows to meet business requirements. Identify areas for optimization and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
  3. Issue Resolution & Improvement: Proactively address issues related to Jira setups to minimize disruptions. Share and implement best practices for optimal Jira performance and user experience.

---- Basic Qualifications ----
  1. Atlassian ecosystem Experience: Should have worked in the Atlassian Ecosystem for 5+ years as an application/business analyst with experience leading digitization efforts of complex business processes.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Lead assertively to meet business requirements, focusing on security and user experience. Facilitate effective communication and regular updates to ensure alignment throughout project phases.
  3. Project management: Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while engaging stakeholders. Capability to provide demos and training on tool functionalities and consult on project/program management best practices.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----
  1. Development skills in Groovy for writing Script runner scripts for business logic automation
  2. Analyst experience with other platforms like ServiceNow.
  3. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
