About the Role

Uber Eats has evolved beyond just restaurants to serve use cases like grocery, retail, and many more, around the world. The Discovery Experiences team is responsible for helping our users find and discover our various offerings, merchants and items on Uber Eats. We own several core consumer experiences including Feed.

We are recruiting for a product-focused engineer who will be responsible for helping develop new consumer experiences on one or more of these surfaces to help eaters better navigate the different options on our platform and support the scalable growth of our ecosystem. This role will involve working with stakeholders to identify and define product requirements, translating these into scalable technical designs, and then working with other engineers to implement and release these features.

---- Basic Qualifications ----
  1. Building features at scale for consumer applications
  2. Running A/B tests
  3. Strong communication skills, experience working with stakeholders including product managers, design and user research
  4. Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly
  5. Previous experience working on building backend systems and APIs for front-end user experience

---- Preferred Qualifications ----
  1. Previous experience with experimentation
  2. Experience working on frontend
  3. Experience building consumer facing technologies on a growth oriented team

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year.
