Senior Project Manager, Legal
This position is a hybrid role (in office 50% of the time) and you must be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA.
About The Role:
We are hiring exciting roles on our growing Product Legal team, which supports a diverse range of business units, which may cover Uber Eats, Uber Ridesharing, autonomous vehicles, advanced technology development, and a wide range of other teams and strategic initiatives.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role will focus on building and optimizing legal review processes for AI/ML-driven products and initiatives, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical frameworks while supporting Uber's rapid innovation.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in legal project management, an understanding of legal operations, and a passion for leveraging technology - including AI itself - to drive efficiency and innovation.

Roles will be based at Uber's Washington D.C., New York or San Francisco, CA office.
What You'll Do:
- Work with a highly collaborative team, taking the lead on project management processes, including working to scale existing processes for the review of new products. This role will primarily support the Mobility & Delivery Product Legal team, which focuses on Uber's mobility and delivery product launches.
- Build and implement legal tools, playbooks, and policies tailored to AI/ML technologies, ensuring consistent and effective legal oversight for a given line of business.
- Serve as a front-line reviewer, working under the supervision of an attorney, to evaluate and provide feedback to business stakeholders on AI/ML proposals, product launches, and operational proposals.
- Develop and refine workflows for evaluating AI/ML-driven proposals, product launches, and operational initiatives, ensuring timely and thorough legal assessment.
- Design and scale efficient processes for legal AI/ML reviews, streamlining approval workflows, managing stakeholder input, and advancing critical issues for resolution.
- Identify gaps in current review and operational processes, particularly those involving AI/ML, and build scalable solutions to support an ever-growing product counsel team.
- Act as a key liaison between the Product Legal team and cross-functional partners to drive alignment and streamline workflows for AI/ML-related projects.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of eight (7) years of experience in legal program management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of legal matter management processes and systems.
- Experience using AI/ML tools and methodologies, with demonstrated understanding of related legal, regulatory, and ethical considerations.
