About our team
Our Operations team operates where Uber's technology meets the real world.
We own the local business and set and execute the strategy for our markets in Northern Europe - Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Luxembourg, and Denmark. At the heart of what we do in Operations is solving problems. We use data, operational levers, and strategic product, process, and campaign launches to grow the business and ensure that Uber offers the most preferred, reliable, and convenient service across Northern Europe, anytime and anywhere.
What you'll do
This role sits in the Driver team within our Operations group. The Driver team is responsible for growing our driver base and continuously improving the platform experience for our customers.

You will be primarily responsible for driving projects which promote increased driver engagement, loyalty, retention, and improved E2E driver experience. Combined, delivering step-changes in these areas aims to directly impact accelerated growth and competitiveness in the region.
These are some of the activities you can expect in your day-to-day:
- Own projects and support development of the strategy and tactics to deliver:
- Platform loyalty and improved on-platform engagement initiatives
- Wider on-platform experience improvements (including proactive management of tooling, education, configuration improvements)
- Operational or product enhancements; address key quality issues affecting driver experience with cross-functional initiatives.
- Operational efficiency and increased automation of critical processes
- Monitor engagement and experience on the platform through analytics and insights gathering, deep-diving into reasons for underperformance and identify and act on improvement areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Legal, Tax, and Product, to roll out your own initiatives, work towards common goals, and continuously improve these segments
What you'll need
Basic qualifications
- Relevant experience: You have 2-5 years of previous, relevant professional experience (e.g. launching new products or processes, managing or executing projects, or solving business problems with data, etc.)
- Project management: You enjoy working on a variety of topics, are proactive, structured, and action-oriented
- Problem solving: You like to solve problems - you can break down problems in a structured manner and use creativity, data-backed insights, and critical thinking to solve them
- Data-savvy: You are comfortable working with data sets using Excel, Google Sheets, etc. and connecting metrics to the real world. Through data, you can validate issues, derive actionable insights, and generate recommendations
- Action-focused: You can work in a fast paced environment where your work will be focused on taking action and delivering tangible impact to the business (e.g. increasing the increasing the number of supply hours on the platform, reducing the number of churned drivers, getting more people to try new products)
- Language preference: Professional fluency in English and one of our region's local languages: Dutch, Swedish, French, Finnish, Norwegian, or Danish
Bonus qualifications
- Growth mindset: You are a proactive learner with a "can-do" attitude - you can pick up skills and knowledge quickly and are excited to become the expert on topics within the team
- Fluency in SQL is a plus (prior knowledge of SQL is not required but you will be expected to learn it ASAP once you join).
- Communication: You have clear communication skills (verbal and written) to deliver insights and recommendations and to work with other team members
- Collaboration: You can collaborate and coordinate well with a mix of cross-functional teams to move projects and launches forwards
- Business acumen: You can prioritize effectively, recognize when business needs shift, and pivot quickly in response

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity.
