About the Role
We're looking for a Merchandising Operations Manager to join our Groceries & Retail team and help shape the way people shop on Uber Eats. You'll lead the charge in crafting an engaging in-app experience through curated selections, strategic content placements, and flawless execution.
In this role, you'll support local merchandising efforts across Central and South America, helping scale impact through data-informed campaigns and collaborative strategies. You'll use your analytical skills, creative thinking, and operational know-how to bring our merchandising vision to life-making it easier and more delightful for users to discover and shop for groceries and everyday essentials.
What You'll Do
- Drive in-app merchandising strategies, including seasonal campaigns, homepage curation, product prioritization, and featured content placements.
- Analyze selection and merchandising performance using SQL and other tools to generate actionable insights.
- Build dashboards, automate reporting processes, and contribute to scalable content performance tracking systems.
- Audit user experience (UX), identify visibility gaps, and explore operational inconsistencies across multiple countries.
- Support the testing roadmap by running and interpreting A/B experiments-helping us better understand user behavior and content performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations that enhance merchant engagement, content quality, and overall shopping experience.
- Develop internal documentation, playbooks, and best practices to promote operational excellence across the team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams-including Marketing, Sales, Product, and Operations-to localize strategies and test new features aligned with our business goals.
What You'll Need
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising, retail, e-commerce, digital marketing, category management, or data/business analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and project management experience-comfortable juggling priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate in SQL and solid experience working with Google Sheets.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) for effective collaboration with regional and global teams.
- A proactive, adaptable approach-ready to take initiative and navigate ambiguity.
Bonus Points
- Experience in tech, startups, or the grocery/convenience/retail space.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and campaign performance tracking.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills-you know how to turn data into compelling narratives for stakeholders.
- Comfort working cross-functionally across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
