About the Role

As the leader of Uber's Marketplace Operations & Courier team in Canada, you will have a rare opportunity to shape and scale our delivery platform across a dynamic, three-sided marketplace. Your work will directly impact the experience of merchants, earners, and consumers, driving operational excellence and platform reliability.

We're looking for a strategic and innovative operator with a passion for solving complex problems at scale. You should bring a strong track record of operational execution, cross-functional stakeholder leadership, and people management. You'll inspire and develop a team of talented Operations Managers while designing solutions that optimize the balance of supply and demand in one of the world's most sophisticated logistics platforms.

This is a high-impact role where you will craft and execute strategies that directly affect dispatch, pricing, supply engagement, demand shaping, courier acquisition, and overall marketplace health.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and scale a high-performing, fast-paced operations team focused on delivering a best-in-class marketplace experience.
  • Set the vision, strategy, and operational roadmap for the Canadian Marketplace Operations & Courier org, aligning team OKRs with Uber's broader business goals.
  • Drive executional excellence across the courier lifecycle - from acquisition to engagement and retention - optimizing reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Policy & Communications, Legal, Local and Central Operations, and Account Management teams to align on priorities and deliver results.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions across key levers like batching, dispatch, pricing, and supply initiatives that improve the health of the overall marketplace.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, finance, or technology.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in operations, strategy, business development, or related fields, ideally with experience in high-growth or tech environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects to completion.
  • Strong business judgment, with a data-informed approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of platform economics and the ability to optimize across different sides of a marketplace.
  • Passion for building and leading high-performing teams, fostering team culture, and driving career development.
  • Customer-obsessed mindset, constantly seeking to improve the user experience across merchants, earners, and consumers.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and thriving in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments.

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$140,000 per year - CAD$155,500 per year.
